In A Nutshell
We showcase a variety of community projects you can support, from helping a local school stock up on supplies to growing a neighborhood garden that provides access to healthy food.
Collective action powers every campaign we feature and unites you with enough supporters to accomplish amazing things that couldn’t be done alone.
With a little effort, you can make a big difference in your neighborhood. Projects you support will directly affect the schools, services, and streets of your community.
South Oakland Shelter (SOS) can fund a one-week shelter stay for 15 displaced individuals. SOS fills shelter space on a first come, first served basis and provides warm meals for anyone staying overnight.
Treehouse garnered enough funding to provide school photos for 41 children living in foster care.
Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco garnered funds to cover the entire skate bowl at Hilltop Park with paint primer. Additional funds provided 34 gallons of paint to add finishing touches to the skate bowl.
Donations from Groupon Grassroots and ComEd were able to help fund 15 youth fields trips (445 students) with Friends of the Park’s “Nature Along the Lake” program where local kids learn more about nature in their own community.
To celebrate the launch of Groupon Grassroots, Groupon provided a $1,000 kickoff grant to this campaign.
