Feeding America and the Taste of Groupon
During the Taste of Groupon, Groupon will donate one meal to Feeding America every time a customer buys an offer (up to 500,000 meals total from all participating businesses). Gateway Greening can purchase the lumber and soil to build 37 raised 4’x12′ garden beds (a $61.21 value each) for a community garden in the St. Louis area.

Creative Writing for At-Risk Youths
With more than 26 times their tipping point raised, this program can provide creative writing assistance to one school for an entire school year. Up to 52 students can pen creative works which are then performed by professional actors at an end of the year school assembly.

Building Accessible Seating in a Garden
In raising $1,770, The Tavon Center can purchase all of the materials needed to construct accessible seating for the Build a Bench-a-Thon on June 26, 2012. Additionally, all of the landscaping costs for the event were covered as well.

Fund a Youth Environmental-Education Field Trip
Donations from Groupon Grassroots and ComEd were able to help fund 15 youth fields trips (445 students) with Friends of the Park’s “Nature Along the Lake” program where local kids learn more about nature in their own community.
